Healing Diet

Blair Lancaster Spa
Healing Diet – Holistic Nutrition

The following steps may help to rebalance and regulate your digestive system, ultimately helping to strengthen and heal your organs and improve your immune system.
The ultimate goal of this program is to increase healing foods rich with enzymes and to introduce good yeast, both to help in digestion. Most report that this program helps strengthen a weakened immune system and help your body become less reactive or sensitive.

(If at anytime you do not feel this program is helping you, we suggest you discontinue it. This program is not meant to interfere with any other program or medical advice. If you have concerns please consult your health professional)

1.  Acidophilus

In capsule form: take 3 times a day up to 3 capsules each time.

BIO K yogurt: This is the best form of Acidophilus to take. It can be purchased in most grocery or health food stores in the refrigerated section. Dairy or non-dairy formats are available. Non-dairy is best during healing but it doesn’t taste very good. You can sweeten it with berries. Start by taking a tablespoon full per day for a few days and then increase until you are taking a full individual container per day.

Regulate the amount you take according to how you feel. It can’t hurt you, but too much, too fast will give you flue like symptoms.

Acidophilus is the good yeast your digestive system requires to function normally. It will kill off the bad fungus in your system that produces toxins and ultimately breaks down your immune system making you sensitive to things.

2.  Swedish Bitters or Apple Cider Vinegar
To gently cleanse the liver and gallbladder

Take Bitters according to directions on the label
Take one teaspoon of Apple Cider vinegar in water

The bitterness cleanses and stimulates liver and gallbladder; usually this is the source of most digestive problems, thereby affecting the immune system.

If you prefer a more gentle approach at first: Squeeze half a lemon in 6-8ounces of warm water and drink up to 3 servings per day.

3.  Omega fatty acids:
Flax Seed Oil, Evening Primrose, Salmon or Fish Oils etc.should be taken as directed on
the label.
